Jireh's Place Founder

Dr. Shakina Dunbar Rawlings is a native of Arlington, Virginia. Dr. Rawlings holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from George Mason University, a Master of Divinity degree from Howard University School of Divinity, and an earned Doctor of Ministry Degree in Prophetic Preaching for the 21st Century from the United Theological Seminary. Dr. Rawlings’ dissertation work was entitled “Prophetic Preaching that Transforms the Mentorship Structure and Development of the Church.”

Founder, Jireh's Place

Equipped with various gifts and abilities Dr. Rawlings established S. D. Rawlings Enterprise with a focus on ministry, consulting, coaching, merchandise, and her non-profit organization Jireh’s Place, which seeks to provide young ladies ages 10-23 with the necessary tools for successful living.
Dr. Rawlings served as an adjunct professor at Marymount University in Arlington, VA from 2018-2020 and has worked in Operations Management for over 10 years. Alongside her husband Deacon Dawud Rawlings, in 2015 Dr. Shakina Dunbar Rawlings planted the inaugural campus of Kingdom Fellowship located in Alexandria, VA.  Dr. Rawlings continues to pastor Kingdom Fellowship Church and is looking forward to planting the second campus in Maryland. In 2019, Dr. Rawlings was the only woman recognized by WPRS Praise 104.1 for Pastoring Kingdom Fellowship Church. In 2018, Dr. Rawlings was the recipient of the Keeper of the Community Award, the 2016 recipient of the Alexandria’s Women’s Commission Award for being a “Rising Star”, the 2015 recipient of the Arlington County Schools “Honored Citizen” Award for her work done with Jireh’s Place within Arlington Public Schools, and the 2014 recipient of the Speak Life Youth Mentorship Award.
